would u be interested in perhaps trading some of the babies for a couple of Odontotaenius disjunctus or Lucanus capreolus if u don't have any of them in Missouri.

i had a female but i can u some more males and femalesif u like. i also have a bunch of Odontotaenius disjunctus if u want some.

Hmmm, if I need a male Ill let you know. I just released a 1.25" female the other night. I have the pictures posted on this site (insect board). I knew I shoulda kept it! Dang it! LOL If I run across another female I might be interested in a male to get some larvae.

Any wild female stag beetle you find are more than likely already mated. No male needed at that point.

Getting them to lay eggs is annother matter. They are much more specific about this than Dynastes.

Brian, I have a thread on Lucanus capreolus in the insect board. Theyre a red-brown stag-beetle with HUGE pincers, the males have even larger pincers. The one I found up here was 1.25" at least.
