Hi everybody! I`m new to this forum and been in the tarantula hobby for prob 5-6 years total and keeping around 40 species at the moment. I have had a lot more species in the past but now cutting down and focusing mostly on the bigger south american species which I find the most fun to keep
Now I need some pamphobeteus help.
A friend of mine bought me a subadult Pamphobeteus "vespertinum" at a show and when comparing it to pictures (on Rick West site) it does not look anything like the ones in the pictures. (but I have also seen pictures named after vespertinum that looks exactly like mine)
What i`ve seen and heard the "real" vespertinum are dark brown/black, long legged and sometimes sold under the name Petersi. But that information could be wrong, but could Rick Wests pictures really be wrong? Here is a picture of it (now sexed male),

What do you pamph experts have to say?
